Normally we are sad to say goodbye to summer however after the devastating fire season across Australia, our hearts hurt and we look to Autumn to bring us all some much-needed rain, relief and recovery.
It feels like no local community has been untouched. Our Autumm mini-mag features the Sugar Pines in the Bago State Forest where the Dunns Rd fire swept through on New Year's Eve burning the enormous and magnificent trees planted in 1928. We send our love to the Batlow and Tumbarumba community.
Despite the hardships, we still feel so lucky to call this country home and you get a sense of that when you look through some of the amazing (and very dry) landscapes we visited to showcase our Autumn ranges.
As the Australian spirit is at the forefront of our minds, it feels good to see so many Australian made styles and home-grown brands featured this season. We hope you find something in here to lift your spirits - and your wardrobe.
There has never been a more important time for camaraderie and connection and we feel so blessed for our beautiful and supportive community of #birdsnestgirls, thank you.
As I look out to the dry paddock, it is raining on our tin roof - yes!! :)
Love, Jane and the birdsnest girls X
